About Emilee,
I was born in Stockton, California, to two hardworking parents—my dad, a Louisiana native and U.S. Army veteran turned truck driver, and my mom, a California native who transitioned from retail to real estate after starting a family. When rising costs and increasing violence hit California, we moved to Indiana in 2002, where I grew up and proudly became a Hoosier.
By 2008, I realized our education system was failing. Despite struggling academically, I was pushed through grades without the support I needed. I took charge of my future, dropped out, enrolled in Job Corps, and earned my GED. I trained to become a correctional officer, but after having my daughter in 2009, I chose safer work in hospitality, juggling multiple jobs to give her the life she deserves.
When COVID-19 hit in 2020, I lost my job overnight. Frustrated by the government's response, I began educating myself on legislation and started using social media to teach others how to understand laws and take action. In 2021, I welcomed my son and lost my father, all while facing the harsh lack of resources for struggling moms in Indiana.
That was my turning point. I started hosting live sessions on TikTok, helping people understand legislation, access resources, and reach out to elected officials. After the 2024 election, I felt a strong call to do more—not just talk about change but be the change.
I'm not a career politician—I'm someone who's lived through poverty, worked my way up, and believes in empathy, action, and integrity. I want to be a voice for everyday people who feel unheard. Together, from Washington County, Indiana, to the White House—we can make it happen
